Mankind has seen the effects of thought
On people living in the dark;
It takes a brain to make one spark
Whose only enemy is Time

Avenues and stony streets
May feel the weight of marching feet;
It takes a mass to make complete
The Call to bring the thought to life

Caught up in history’s heels, it comes:
The anthem of those once unsung
Who boldly cast their stones among
Those once uplifted, now deprived

Such is a revolution’s life:
It kills the status quo, then dies
What follows depends on them who rise
Whose only enemy is Time
